Steam-driven double-effect absorption chillers are one of the most efficient cooling solutions for industrial applications. In double-effect machines, concentration gain occurs in two steps. The primary generator (known as the High Temperature Generator or HTG) produces steam, whose latent heat is transferred to lithium bromide in the secondary generator (known as the Low Temperature Generator or LTG). Thermax double-effect absorption chillers are designed based on proven Advanced Series Flow technology. This prevents the highest concentration and highest temperature of the lithium bromide solution from occurring simultaneously. Therefore, the corrosion rate is negligible compared to counterflow technologies.
